Indiscretions of check-in staff? You are seated next to Mr Celebrity
Just returned from ARN, with a very nice flight on an A319, and only 3 rows of Club.
As it turned out, we had a celebrity on board (minor or major, depending on whether you follow X-factor or not), but I am certain I would never have known, were it not for:
1. The BA check in staff, who told me that I was sitting in 1D next to Mr XF in 1E.
2. The AY lounge staff, who asked ever so politely if I would mind moving to 2D (with 2E blocked off), so that Mr XF and his companion could have 1DEF to themselves.
3. The ARN gate staff, who pulled me aside to give me my new BP, saying thank you for letting this "celebrity" have my seat.
4. The purser, who showed me the passenger list, to check where the Smirnoff SPMLs were meant to be, and letting me see Mr XF and "Sapphire, VIP Artist" written alongside.
Anyway he was the nicest guy, with really nice trainers, but a little odd to be told all this.
