Are you sure? IIRC at ORD T5 there are at least two baggage recheck areas, one AA and one UA, about 50 yards apart, each with corresponding doors into the waiting area.
To the OP - if I'm right (which is by no means a certainty) then the doors you want are the rightmost set, as viewed when facing them (with your back to the outside world).
