There seems to be nothing displayed by the agent's web page conditions disallowing this but the reservations clerk on the carrier for A to B and B to A, says that B to A will be cancelled if I don't turn up for A to B.
After reading this FOUR times I'm still not sure I've got this right, but hey, that's never stopped me from answering before

TWO transactions? Sounds like two tickets.

It may be different in Europe / Asia, but anytime you don't show up for a flight, they cancel EVERYTHING after that point. So if you don't show up for either A-B or A-C, your return will be cancelled. Believe it's standard Contract of Carrige that airlines use and to which you agree by purchasing a ticket.

Now the second part, and that is that most airlines actually charge MORE for a one way ticket, which may defeat the purpose of this exercise. Have you tried to change the departure dates of your flight?

Good luck, and if you can clarify your post (or another reader can clarify it for me ) we may be able to help you more. I suspect you don't want to tip your hat by disclosing the carrier, but it would most likely be useful in assesing the situation.
