That raises an interesting question for me - I never work on flights but it seems to me that an ever increasing number of people do almost to obsession.
I guess my attitude is I dont choose to fly (im told to), I usually end up doing it on my own time rather than the company's, so why should I work in my tiny little bit of space on the plane? (Another less childish reason is that I dont want people to read over my shoulder!)

The main reason I value work time on a plane (regrettably I can usually work only in first) is this: If I can work on the plane for 2-4 hours, I can get to bed 2-4 hours earlier at the hotel (or home, depending on direction).
The work still has to get done whether I'm in the plane, hotel, or my home office.
