The main reason I value work time on a plane (regrettably I can usually work only in first) is this: If I can work on the plane for 2-4 hours, I can get to bed 2-4 hours earlier at the hotel (or home, depending on direction).

The work still has to get done whether I'm in the plane, hotel, or my home office.
