You're absolutely right - Surly is great, wish more places had it. Have to support those local breweries!
As far as Summit goes, I agree - Grand is terrible. But at least the employees are still serious about their beer over there. My bro and I went on a recent (free) brewery tour, which was great, but got much better at the end of the tour when they poured unlimited glasses of about 6 of their varieties. Our tour guide, who was about 8 months pregnant, proceeded to down about 3 glasses herself. Someone made a comment about 'drinking & pregnancy' and she said, "Hey, I'm past the first trimester, if it's good for me, it's good for the baby!" Whether that's true or not, I don't know and isn't the point - it was simply something you don't see every day, and demonstrated that even pregnant tour guides there are more hardcore than most.
