There are a number of night time moment tour groups where they bus you around and you can get off take pictures and have time at each one. I ahve never been on one but you see them all the time. The momuments are definitely beautiful at night!

If you stay in Dupont Circle are then you can walk to see the White House, Treasury, and all of those buildings down there.
