Madrid wins hands down

I love Barcelona. I was just there a couple of weeks ago. I spend 4 days there and 12 in Sitges. The season is largely over for this year for Sitges.

There are wonderful things to see in Barcelona, and the gay life is great, but many of the bars are spread out. Especially since Spainish gay life is so late, you can end up taking a taxi all over town in the middle of the night. And when you don't know the town, there is a good chance that you will be taken for a ride.

Madrid is more classic Spain. All the bars (even the Strong Center) are within walking distance. Just get a gay map from the gay book store during the day. Scope out the town and you are ready. The guys are friendlier and wilder in Madrid. There are world class museums. The food is incredible, and while Barcelona has a lot to see, Madrid has much more.

I can get direct flights out of Newark to either Madrid or Barcelona. While I have been to Barcelona three times, I have been to Madrid probably about 20 times. If you want any other information, or have particular tastes that you want to ask about, just pm me.

I think that Madrid is one of the best gay cities in the world!
