Yes, the CP desk apparently over rode the airport control. Airport agents said they could do nothing, CP desk did. This was about an hour and a half prior to flight time.
A seat was assigned when I was upgraded, either 2D or 3D. The more I think about it, I'm betting a I got FAM'd though I didn't pay much attention to the folks in those seats.
