I flew in C couple of times NRT-BKK, KIX-BKK and NRT-MNL sectors on JL and was not impressed at all. The quality of food was terrible in my opinion. It did not feel like a business class meal at all. The seats are old style and do not recline well. I felt they use the jets that are in their last days of service before retirement on the intra-asia routes.

I heard their long haul flights are good though in regards to food & service but never experienced.

You can use their Sakura lounge at NRT during the short layover.
