This would be destination number 2,935 or so from ATL, right? I'm sorry, I have lost count over the past months.

They did for a long time, but after 9-11 and the subsequent changes in immigration procedure, IB decided to drop the hub. That happened for the reason that prior to 9-11, IB pax connecting from Spain to a flight to Latin America did not have to leave transit, meaning no immigration and all that, whereas after 9-11, those pax had to enter the US before they continued their flight, and the resulting extended waiting time and all controls forced IB to change their strategy, so they chose to drop the MIA hub and instead go to most places nonstop from MAD, so as to avoid unnecessary hustle for their pax.
