If pilots were paid a reasonable wage, our air service could afford to fly to so many new places at great fares. Instead there is this huge stranglehold on us costing us with less service except to the large cities and high fares. A pilot flying from Dallas to London on Monday evening and returning at 2PM Wednesday makes $4500. That's 225 an hour. Once the plane is airborne they sit back and count $4 a minute.
