JS, both AA (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum71/HTML/005919.html) and BA (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/Forum15/HTML/001266.html) asked their non-executive employees to take pay reductions as well.

Back to Tango's main point, I would agree that it seems difficult to justify such a large differential in pilot salaries based on the size of the aircraft flown. While one might expect a meaningful difference based on additional training and flight hours required, and while the larger planes often fly much longer routes and require international stay overs, I am sceptical that the pilot's value-added is worth ten times as much as for a commuter aircraft.
