Most Definitely.

An example: During the Swissair "crisis" last month I learned from reliable sources that a senior Swissair pilot at retirement has Sfr 4'500'000 million (approx $ 2.8 million) in his retirement account. On top of an annual salary in the Sfr. 300 - 400'000 range in the last few years of employment. I understand compensation packages are similar at numerous other Western carriers.

Yet, it was this very same group of pilots who had the guts requesting to keep their existing pay & benefit scale once flying for Crossair, within days of the Sfr. 4+ billion rescue package passed by the Swiss government and private sector.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!
