That's usually all you get to know unless they say it is a mechanical. Unless someone was on it or supposed to be you may not get much info. From /to where? Lots of other flights? Maybe just not full enough.
They don't run down a list of flights with low loads in the morning and say, hmmm, not full enough, cancelled. When there's a mechanical, weather, or other circumstances, then the loads are considered.
