As others have said already, you'll get access to the lounge no matter where your room is located in the hotel. Keep in mind though that as a plat it's limited to just yourself and one guest, so if you have more than 2 ppl, have extra kids, or a 2nd room, don't expect free breakfast, drinks, etc for everyone. Some hotels may go above and beyond to give you access for extra people, but they aren't obligated to.
Not to beat a dead horse, I think the bottom line is: you will receive "access" as a platinum wherever you are in the hotel,
but access does not ensure free anything.
If it does include complementary things like breakfast, drinks, etc., as
azboy1 suggests, it is limited to you and a guest (and technically, I think, this guest has to be sleeping with you...er, sharing your room at a bare minimum
).
