On the same flight I was on, they were charging for coffee and tea too (although if you bought either, refills were free). It may depend on the routing. The impression I got was that it was intra-Europe or Swedish domestic but otherwise NOT within Nordic countries or long haul.

I just remembered that I posted a comment about this to the SAS FT forum so by doing a search, I find that I had this experience on August 7, 2005.
