Thumbs down

two bottles of water at check in is what you get

HGI seems to be a "do as little as we can, do exactly what the rules say and no more" kind of an outfit.

It's funny to see how they roll out the red carpet when I stay in Hawaii at the Hilton, then I'm at some "could be anywhere" HGI and they pull out this two bottles of water nonsense.

Like the man said, this game's not as fun as it used to be.

A friend of mine was staying at a 4* marriott about a mile away, on a corp rate about the same as I'm paying at the HGI. I went over to his place and we were enjoying the beef wellington and other posh snacks in the concierge lounge. they let him have his room til 10pm without paying for an extra night (late night flight out).

Still, the HGI is way better than hampton, courtyard, etc...

Well stayed at Natomas HGI. Breakfast coupons were provided and we were given 2 bottles of water upon check in (but no others - didn't feel like asking). No upgrade but no amenity in its place.

is this in accordance with the rules? is this par fot he course for HGI or for this property?

I have a couple of other items I am going to email the management about, and wanted to clear this one up before including it.
