Are you not being presumptious to assume that I did not intend to give KLM my business or do not intend that in the future? Can't travel patterns change? Since the promotion, I have changed jobs (no travel) and I have moved to the West Coast from the East Coast of the US where the KLM/NW service is spotty. For example, when going onwards to my favorite destination from AMS, I either need to stay overnight in NYC or in AMS to make the connection since there are very few flights on the SFO-AMS segment.
Do you even know what the elite match scheme was? I was required to fly 24 milage earning segments to get the match, which I did.
