According to the Air Canada website (using the Air Canada locator code) I am on an AC flight number operated by CP on that part of the route. Can I get Aeroplan points for the trip (via the AC fare/flight number) or American Airlines points (since CP flight -> OneWorld)? All business class, though I doubt that matters.
Careful when looking at your booking using the AC locater on AC.com. The flights almost always show as AC even though it's another airline. The flight # is the operating airline's flight.
For example, I'm booked on SQ 11, however when I look at my itinerary online it shows as AC11 operated by Singapore Airlines. It displays as though it's a codeshare when in fact it's not.
In any case, AC does not codeshare with CX, so it should be a moot point.
