They canceled SJC-SAN early enough (it was supposed to depart 15 minutes after ours) to allow for the quick rebooking, our flight arrived on time anyway, and they held the LAX-SAN flight for 5 minutes to allow for the connection.
In the past when I've flow Eagle LAX-SAN, it seems like those flights operate when and if they feel like it.
When I fly to the Bay area from LA, I fly to SFO just so I can go mainline, even though SJC often would be more convenient.
