Screening subjective? NO WAY!!! Comrade Daschle promised that federalizing the screening force would result in professional, consistent aviation security in the United States. Oh well, at least we have a large workfare program employing tens of thousands. Thank you, former D-S.D. Tom, whose wife ran and then lobbied the FAA before 9/11 (see these links http://www.laweekly.com/news/news/im-linda-fly-me/3232/ and http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/685156/posts). BTW, how much did the national media, those watchdogs, scrutinize this connection before formation of TSA?
