I hate to say it, but I can't imagine that's a top priority route for Delta--so you may be looking at closer to the 2008 deadline for the whole fleet having it.

And anyway, would PTVs even work on that route? I know on jetBlue, the TVs do not work on flights to Mexico and the Carribbean, because the satellite TV coverage they use is available only over the continental U.S. Does anyone know if there's a difference between DirecTV and Dish Network here? And if there's coverage over Canada/Alaska? (I would imagine that even if there is limited Canadian coverage, some of the very remote areas flown over on the way to Alaska would still not have a signal.)

Granted, you could still use the PTVs for movies and games, but if there's no TV available, Delta may decide it's not worth putting the equipment on that route.
