I think the writers for the newspapers were shocked to have finally found evidence to confirm everyone's suspicions of Mesa trying to sink Aloha Airlines. Especially since Mesa has always been pumping the "good kama'aina" stories into our media telling everyone Mesa was not there to put anyone else out of business. This in effect proves that everyone at Mesa has been lying to us all along.
I'm wondering if that may have been why it seemed to be the focus of the article. I don't think Hawaiian Airlines would battle in court for Aloha Airlines. I'm told the court hearing brought up some very good evidence of predatory pricing. I wish I was there to see it for myself. Hopefully, we will see soon how the judge will rule.
