As this has to do with a specific program (United's), I'll move it from MilesBuzz to that forum.
As an addendum to what ms ga peach said, Cingular's customer service is a nightmare in itself, based upon my experience. They are consistently incompetent whether you are talking to someone in Texas or Mexico (which happened to me last week, with two consecutive calls to them).
