I don't think that rhetor's warnings are examples that represent the majority of Club Lounges, though.
Even if the lounge is as described by rhetor, you get the same privilege as those that paid the $30 for Club level.
I also don't like the Tower distinctions. If they were consistent and clear before booking, I might feel different. But this hotel-within-a-hotel concept is rather inconsistent. Not all properties with "Towers" in the name have this restriction. The "Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers" does not operate the Club as a right only for guests staying in the tower(s), for example. (This property does charge for soft drinks in the evening, though.)
