I'm trying to figure out whether I pay for access on my next stay. I'd pay the $30 extra if that's what it takes, but don't want to do it if I'll get access gratis anyway. Any advice would be appreciated.
Before I paid for lounge access, I'd want to know what it got me. Some lounges charge for everything, so there's really no advantage.
In my experience, you will always get regular club/lounge "access," (i.e., they let you in--you may still have to pay for anything you consume) but not necessarily "tower" access (many *wood hotels have this "hotels within a hotel" concept -- the tower is sort of an executive wing that platinums do not have special access to).
