How about this? Fly up to TUL Thursday night. (Or are you there already?) Then use your original ticket to go standby onto a morning TUL-DFW segment (there's one at 6am, then two more between 8 and 9). Work the day in Dallas, and take your original connecting segment on to Vegas.

I am sitting at gate A39 and got on an earlier flight to Vegas. I flew standby the 6am flight successfully and surprisingly there were quite a few PLT standby on that flight and it was a full flight out (mostly due to lots of AA employees in Tulsa).
Worked the day in Dallas and came to DFW around 6:25pm and standby on an earlier flight. Thanks to my PLT, i moved up to 1st on the list while there were already 19 ppl on the list. Everything works out just perfectly!!
