I think it could be used for travel to the USA - it captures your passport number and nationality, which is the requirement (BA's OLCI does this for US flights also) - but I've never tried this, so couldn't say 100%.

At the moment, it's giving out 200 miles per use. However, KL don't have a very good track record of giving me bonus miles... (No Online Booking Bonus, no Summer Promo, and no e-checkin so far...)
