Checking in at LHR's Select counter can easily take more than a few minutes... The nice thing about the e-checkin is being able to select a nice seat before you travel, and then turn up to the airport in your own time. Do you really want 28B on that Friday afternoon flight..?

As for the no bags... Well, out of 56 flights this year, I've not checked any luggage...
