I always thought the logic behind putting the ORD/ATL/DFW and more recently DCA/IAD/BOS flights out of A was because they were more business-oriented non-stop flights with the least connecting traffic.
Has the flight demographic on these flights changed with CO flying more international Europe flights now out of EWR? I could see how DFW-EWR doesn't make a lot of sense for most domestic connections (aside from maybe BOS, you'd be backtracking either South or West to all other major ciites). But with all the new Europe flights, EWR is a logical connecting point for DFW-Europe.
How would the locals feel about this? I could see how Terminal A could be convenient as an EWR local. Sure the terminal is crappy, but it's small, there's a P-Club there, and you can get to your flight easily.
