I live next to it and I refuse to fly BUR. Anyway, UA only has 2 check in counters and 1 ticketing counter. So, if you go there during DEN and SFO departing flights, then you will be waiting for a while
Look at flight schedule to DEN and SFO and try to pick a time when they won't be processing checkins. By following this plan, generally in the early evening, my wait time has varied from 5 to 30 minutes. I try to show up about 15-20 minutes before the scheduled departure time of a flight as they usually have no more checkins after that point until the next flight.
Looks like there might be a window in the morning starting around 8:30am since there are no flights between 8:47 and 10:40am (at least today).
