I thought UA only had the 763's repo'd? (also FWIW Boeing has about 5 763's for sale on thier website)
Since some of the 744's have had thier engines "borrowed" I figured they were still owned by UA.
Also, why wouldn't the owners of the 744's in VCV lease to UA at a major discount? Seems they only have about 10 years of useful life before they will be valued at -0-?
Finally, if UA does get the IAD-PEK route (I am not holding my breath)... could a 744 work it? or would it need the 772ER?
