I'm not surprised. I've done two rotations at the World Bank, and I was a bit taken aback by the travel perks, for example:

- Automatic 1P status in UA's MP
- Confirmed F upgrades on AF's and LH's transatlantic flights with a full-fare C ticket
- Confirmed C upgrade on LH's transatlantic flights with a full-fare Y ticket
- Special World Bank check-in desk for AF in IAD

...not to mention the waiver of the US$100/day fee for visiting Bhutan whilst on mission!

I suppose that some of these perks make the work more enjoyable, especially when more than half of the time of many project managers is spent on overseas missions. Perhaps the World Bank could consider adding a subtext to their aim: "Our dream is a world free of poverty...but also a world where everyone can fly the nice classes"
