Good luck and post your success.
Well my luck was not corner or suite.
I checked in this afternoon and after going upstairs to the Exec Floor lounge, was told the room was not ready yet. I said no problem since I would just sit in the lounge and do some work while it was getting cleaned. At around 4:00pm, the lounge was not busy at all so I didn't mind this at all. About 20 minutes later they brought me my key and I said thank you. They assigned me room x23 which I didn't notice was the room right besides the elevators. I went out for a little while and when I came back around 7pm, I sat down to relax and all I could hear was the elevator. I called the desk and they said there were no rooms at all on the Exec Floor for today but they could move me tomorrow. I asked are you sure there are no rooms at all on any of the three floors? (It's funny they are still selling King Exec Rooms on the website right now) She said no but I could talk to the Manager. She transfered me and I asked the same question, and he came right back and said yes you can move to room x08. Amazing how a room just happen to open up. I said I would take it and move.
One major item of interest about the hotel is the tower is totally closed for renovation. So the room selection is very limited. I was able to get only a double bed room (even though I did reserve a King) but that is alright.
When I went to the lounge to get the new key, it was a total ZOO!! It seems there are more people than should be in the lounge, there were no soda's in the refrig and was very noisy. Nothing like the lounges I've been in before.
The resturant downstairs was very nice. I was able to eat off the lunch menu and was able to eat for under $20. That in itself was nice after I looked at the prices for dinner.
I can say I like the outside of the property. This is right on the water and is really relaxing. I could bring my family here and really have a great time.
