I booked 4 tickets in 2006. Hope this helps you find availability.
AA.com has more availability than Travelocity.com, however AA.com's flexible dates thing is not 100% accurate - seems to be running on cached data.

Type in exact dates at aa.com to do a real check.

Sat 9/30/06 - Tue 10/3/06
Sat 10/21/06 - Tue 10/24/06
Sat 10/28/06 - Tue 10/31/06
Fri 11/24/06 - Tue 11/28/06

Sat 11/25 and Mon 11/27 were not available.
Couldn't find anything 12/15-16 to 12/18-19
Mid-end of December was gone.

So-so January availability
Fri 1/19/07 - Feb 2/13/07 priced out, but I didn't buy it.
I have a $198 EWR-LGW special and the Fri 1/19 flight was too close...

Couldn't find 2/5-6 return EWR-SFO.
Departures 2/2/07 and 2/9/07 worked, but everything after that (into June) was blank at travelocity.com. There might be some AA.com inventory, but I didn't feel like searching.
