I'll be overnighting in Purley, Croydon and then need to get to Heathrow.

I presume with the current security situation I should arrive at Heathrow three hours in advance (i.e. for about 7am).

Thing is how is the best way to get to Heathrow?

Cab will probably be too expensive.

My other options are as follows:

-Train to Victoria and then tube to Hatton X (then bus to T4)
-Train to Gatwick and then National Express to Heathrow (from there where do I go?)
-X26 Bus from East Croydon (however not sure about timing, I think there is a bus at 06.04, but it takes 68 minutes according to TFL, and then I have to get to T4)
-Train to Clapham Junction then bus to Hatton X (however can't remember the bus number), then bus to T4
-Train to Victoria, tube to Paddinton and then Heathrow Connect / Heathrow Express.

Have I missed any other options out? Which would be best?

Thanks
The first one and the last ones you described IMHO. You might find there is only marginal difference in time in tubing up to Paddington for the HEX or just taking the Piccadilly line after changing once from Victoria Station.

Personally I would avoid anything that involves road based transport options and stick with the trains. Much more predictable.
