If you do the trip back to back, isn't it more risky to put your bags in left luggage at LHR. If the bags go missing on BA flights would it not be their responsibility to get them to you, whereas if you left them in left luggage and had delays and couldn't get to them you would be out of luck.
True, but in the current climate the risk of the bag not making it is high if checked with BA on the OSL legs.
