Nevermind the fact that YYZ is, by far, the biggest source of boarding passengers in the country. No airport in the US comes even close in its dominance in this area.
YHM does a great job of providing service for the hundreds of thousands of people who live closer to YHM than London or Toronto. It was never, ever thought of as a substitute for YYZ.
BTW You have no idea how close WJ was to offering service to an airport east of Toronto as well.
I think WJ would be very keen to get flights into another secondary LA area airport. Unfortunately, US issues prevent that from occuring.
