I'm visiting New Delhi & Agra in mid-Nov, arriving New Delhi on a Thurs evening. Our plan is to leave for Agra Fri afternoon by train, visit Taj Mahal on Saturday morning, and return to New Delhi in the afternoon by train.

I understand Taj Mahal should be viewed at sunset as well as sunrise. Since it is closed on Fridays, should we try to arrive on Friday before sunset anyway and see it from outside the gate? Or is a Saturday morning visit sufficient - someone mentioned 8am, but isn't sunrise before then?
