Could be...today & tomorrow's flights look less than 1/2 full, although they didn't cancel until almost 3 hours after sched takeoff. Our resched flight (SJC-NRT) on Saturday was oversold by 2, so DogDad & I scored major bumpage comp...$800/each.

I can't reach the AA line in Japan and would love some opinions on what you think AA will do--send us today on a JAL flight to LAX (it leaves about 10 mins later than our originally sched flight) and then AA to SJC...or just double up and send everyone on tomorrow's AA NRT-SJC flight. Also, if they do hold us over, any thoughts/experiences as to where they'd put us up? I know that the crew hotel is a local brand...can't remember the name. Thanks!
