i am taking JFK-AMS KLM 642 and AMS-JFK KLM 641 in August (yes, the incredible JFK-VCE fare of $140 plus tax). i am platinum elite on continental airlines.

any way to know if these are 743 combi or 744 combi? i assume with my elite Continental status i can get a preferred seat, right?
