That would be a great benefit. I'd charge my plat status lickety split, and never make a paid stay at a Starwood again unless I was having to force availability as a plat, which I had to do today. Other than that, it would be free stays only forever! Wow. I would love that.

I make a point of NEVER using my SPG Amex at Starwoods. My hope is that some day, someone at SPG or AMEX will decide to offer a bonus for using the Starwood card there like Marriott or Hilton. Since they don't, I use Diners or another card at all Starwoods. But I charge enough to max the SPG Amex at otehr places every month. It's just a pet peeve not to get any extra points at Starwood hotels.

Maybe if all of us made a point to never use AMEX cards at Starwood we could encourage them to add this feature?
