I believe I've heard that NW & DL only exchange masterfiles about once a week, so there could be some delay in DL recognizing changes in NW status.

This is when you need to ask for a supervisor & put their noses to the grindstone. If pressed hard enough, they will call NW to verify your WP # & elite status.
