I've been looking around these forums for about a month now and this is my first post.

I've flown AI twice in my life, the most recent being two years ago. Members of my family have travelled with AI more than me with the most recent being six months ago. I know that some of these comments are in jest, but I find some of the comments a little offensive. AI is not at all as it is made out to be in this forum. The food was good, flight left on time etc etc. Only thing was that their planes were a little dated with no PTV and the interiors showing their age. This may have changed now on the BOM - LHR route with the introduction of new 777s, but I'm not sure about the DEL - LHR route which, as far as I'm aware, still operates 744s. And as for the toilets - they're the same as on any other airline. In fact, the worst (in terms of cleanliness) toilets I've ever experienced were last month on EK. And as for the prices of tickets to DEL on BA - on ba.com all but about four days are available for £1286 incl tax in Nov (same / similar price to VS).
