Are you for real? Call up Galveston Limo and find out how busy their round-the-clock shuttles are up to IAH, especially on days when multiple cruise ships are in port, i.e. "crazy days"! On days when 3 ships are in at once, that's around 20,000 people coming & going in one day alone.

Galveston is the #1 cruise ship terminal on the Gulf Coast, and I think the #6 in the entire USA. The cruises are HUGE business, and quite a few of the cruisers are flying in from throughout the USA and even internationally.

I too wonder who takes the short flights to Beaumont. Obviously, it's best for connections.

To drive 5 minutes from the beach, do check-in and security in a small terminal, and be on your way to anywhere Continental flies, that's a dream come true!

Besides, if people are paying $60-100 extra to take the shuttles and taxis from IAH down to Galveston, I'm sure they wouldn't mind paying extra for this flight instead. Either that or Continental should buy Galveston Limo!
