One of the things I usually do when travelling only because I find it so fascinating

Paris (one of the best!), Sydney, London, and Vancouver. I usually walk around and see what salon looks "interesting" and not exhorbitantly expensive! The best was in Paris when I was using my phrase book to explain how I wanted my hair. Nobody spoke a word of English, but all 8 hairdressers came over to explain to each other what they thought I wanted. Again - I had no clue what was being said, but it turned out to be one of my all-time favorite haircuts
