I called Continental reservations, and they told me to call the web help desk, which I did. After being on hold for 40 minutes, I was told to click on 'advanced search' on the opening page, and then click on 'full fare - no restrictions' under 'fare preference' in order to get the 5% discount for 1st class or BF seats. After nicely telling her that I`m certain that she was incorrect, I just hung up. So I`m still perplexed.
