My laptop was made by one of these companies but is not a recall candidate. If I fly Korean, which is admittedly unlikely for the foreseeable future, I will:

1. Remove the battery.
2. Bring the laptop into the cabin, which I would not be allowed to do with the battery in place.
3. Replace the battery.

They will be happy, I will be happy, and the world will go on.
