It would be good (yet practically unachievable) to ban people without any knowledge or experience to write about air travel.
It is bizarre how people who get on a plane twice a year feel they are competent to pass a judgment. "I am a customer, I paid $500 for that ticket." Oh yeah? Well that plane costs $220 million for a start, and you were carried 5000 miles AND back in it.
Funny how people who undergo an kidney transplant in most cases do not feel competent to comment on surgeon's skills ("I'd do a better cardiac bypass myself; to think I just paid $20,000 for this s**t!"), but get anyone who can barely read on a plane and the fun begins.
"You call this landing? The pilot does not know what he's doing."
"This polar route just doesn't make sense does it? No wonder they are losing money." [This one I heard myself on SK flight to NRT.]
"Why is this seatbelt light still on? They probably forgot to switch it off."
