I stayed at the Hyatt on Capitol Square in Columbus, OH in late October 2004 with GWB literally a week and a few days before the election.
It was very cool to watch, Secret Service was EVERYWHERE (in dress and plain clothes) including going up and down all the elevators all of Friday and Saturday morning until he departed in addition to snipers on other building rooftops.
